If finding that perfect gift for your grad, dad, bride or birthday has you scratching your head, consider this: "Mad in the USA."
Especially in this challenging economy, it's more importanct than ever to buy locally made products--and Country Loft Gifts is your one-stop shop for American-made home decor, accessories and gifts.
Owned and operated by The Amish Farm and House, Country Loft Gifts has featured an eclectic mix of "Made in the USA" items at reasonalbe prices since it opened in July 2007. "We change it by season," Manager Janice Williamson says of the shop's always-fresh variety of merchandise. "We keep really close tabs with our customers to see what they're looking for."
She says customers from as far away as New York and New Jersey flock to Country Loft for its selection of wind chimes by Corinthian Bells, vases and teapots by Fiesta and an extensive inventory of Caldrea's eco-friendly laundry and cleaning products. "I have people who come in regularly and buy the Acladrea detergents," Janice remarks. "And, we're less expensive than some of the online catalogues."
Country Loft Gifts is committed to supporting local artists and features "slump" bottles, hand-painted glass and custom orders by Karen Snarr-Beiler; wood crafts by Catherine Weaver and Alden "Doug" Smith; a variety of Pennsylvania-made soy candles and skincare lotions. Plus, the shop's aprons and children's activity bags are crafted in-house.
County Loft Gifts is located at 2405 Lincoln Highway East (in the Target Shopping Complex next to Panera Bread.) Phone 394-4044 or visit countryloftgiftsonline.com
